SIPPO Peru participated in the forum “Transforming the Tourism” of MINCETUR
Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO) participated in the forum “Transforming the Tourism” with the presence of multiple stakeholders of the tourism sector. The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) in Lima.
SIPPO was part of the discussion panel “Innovation opportunities for startups in the tourism sector” with the participation of SIPPO Export Promotion Manager Manuel Puma, joined to Pamela Antonioli – Innovation Director of the Production Ministry, Natalia Acosta from Turismo Emprende Program of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism – MINCETUR, Cesar Lopez Lazo, Vicepresident of Peruvian Experience, and Carla Grados, Executive Director of Kunan to talk about the opportunities the startups have to innovate in the tourism sector.
The event aimed to promote the innovative research, development and communication within the World Tourism Day 2019. This event had the presence of government officers, investors, universities and tourism guilds, as well as startups of the tourism sector.
During the event, the Director of Tourism Strategy of MINCETUR, Mr. Alejandro Reyes welcomed the participants and opened the event that had various panels about the new technologies in tourism with the participation of Arturo Muente- Digital Government Specialist of the Interamerican World Bank, sessions about the experience of digital platforms in tourism and MINCETUR TV as a revolution of the ministry communications http://www.minceturtv.com/.
