SIPPO Peru Facilitates Peruvian Business Participation at Anuga

SIPPO Peru played a facilitating role in supporting the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL) and PROMPERU during their participation in Anuga, a major trade fair for the food and beverage industry. SIPPO's involvement led to changes in responsibilities and underscored Peru's expanding presence in international markets.

Collaborating closely, SIPPO Peru assisted the Lima Chamber of Commerce in managing stands within the Fine Food and Frozen Food sections, while PROMPERU took charge of the Organic Pavilion. Together, these efforts resulted in the representation of 35 Peruvian companies across the three pavilions, showcasing the diversity of Peru's food and beverage offerings.

Sierra y Selva Exportadora (SSE), another business support organization (BSO), contributed to Peru's presence by providing coffee samples for tasting in the Fine Food Peru Pavilion. This move highlighted the collaborative endeavors of various BSOs to enhance the representation of Peruvian products.

Before Anuga, SIPPO conducted pre-fair workshops for BSOs and exhibitors, ensuring their preparedness for the international showcase. Additionally, SIPPO organized a tour for Peruvian representatives to observe product presentation and promotion strategies in German supermarkets and specialized organic product stores.

The networking opportunities extended beyond the exhibition halls, with the Lima Chamber of Commerce engaging in meetings with BSOs from South Africa, such as Wesgro, and Tunisia, represented by CEPEX. Discussions with chambers of commerce and companies associations further strengthened Peru's ties with global markets.
